Love the atmosphere, space, and board/ card game options! The staff are great and so accepting of all. We've been here several times and had zero complaints or concerns. Highly recommend if you want to play a board game and have a snack. Being your own game or play theirs. Many tables available with almost every board/ card game you can think of.
My favorite place in Riverside! It's such a beautiful community hub and the owners are so sweet. They give you amazing recommendations and teach you how to play the games. They also undercharge like crazy. If you are LGBT, I especially recommend this supportive, friendly, and inclusive space.
Really great atmosphere with plenty of fun games. Neat hidden gems throughout and comfy seating. Very fair price for the selection available and considering that they stay open later than the posted hours a lot of the time. Only reason why I knock one star off is because of my most recent visit. A couple of people from the group I went with were exploring the escape rooms because the doors were open and they hadn’t seen them before. A couple of them had found some hidden goodies in the bathroom and they were invested in finding more around the shop. I happened to walk in on them pulling up a trap door type contraption when one of the attendants came in and started yelling at us. It made me super uncomfortable because 1. I had no involvement in them doing that 2. It was just innocent curiosity that led them there. Eventually he calmed down and apologized for the confusion but it was really off putting. Every other time I’ve come here it’s usually the owners working and they are the kindest, most patient people I’ve met. I’m just chalking it up to an off day for the guy but definitely should put some signage up or just close the doors if exploring those rooms is off limits.
Super cool and cozy place. I love the homely concept too. Nice and welcoming staff/family. Learnt two new games and had fun while at it. So much games you’ll have to come back again and again. 👍🏽
This place is like the definition of found family. I’ve made lifelong friends here that understand me on a deep and personal level, and made memories that will last me a lifetime. Aaron, Michelle, as well as their kids and employees, have garnered a welcoming, warm, and fun space that anyone can come to. Acceptance, education, and brilliance lives here, and it’s definitely somewhat of a second home to me. Nevermore is somewhere I know I can be myself, have fun with my friends, and get to know more about them, as well as myself. If you ever get a chance to drop by during their open hours, I highly recommend you do. You won’t regret it😊
