On the recommendation of a friend, I booked Events on the Marquee to celebrate my 55th birthday celebration in February 2025. I am so glad that I did. Our stealth-like attendants for the evening were extremely accommodating, professional yet pleasant. We had a coloring station on one side of the foyer and the bar station on the other side. The bartender that Events on the Marquee provided was OUTSTANDING!!!!! Between the attendants, and the bartender, they had the space looking like it was The place to be. From start to finish, I am absolutely pleased with the services from the entire team and the facility is absolutely beautiful. Many of my out of town guests were impressed. They were sitting on the lounge chair as if they were hanging out in a swanky nightclub. My only regret, through no fault of the Attendees, was that i didn't get any photos. We partied and danced for HOURS!!!! I'd definitely recommend Events on the Marquee to anyone who wants to celebrate their event, large or small.

We hosted my child's Sweet 16 Sneaker Ball birthday party at On the Marquee and we were completely blown away. When visiting for our initial appointment to view the space, we were met by the owner Erica who gave us a full tour of the facilities. My family and I instantly fell in love and booked. The entire booking experience was clear, outlining what to expect leading up to the actual event. In the months leading up to the actual date, the team reached out to ensure we had everything we needed and we were able to customize the space to allow for a dance floor and food/cake setup. They were always friendly, answering any questions I had patiently and throughly. Again, exceeding our expectations. On the day of the event our vendors were able to access the space and get us all setup with no issues. Our guest were blown away by the space and complimented us on how easy it was to locate, find parking and how breathtakingly beautiful it all turned out. Erica was actually onsite the duration of the party and provided us everything we needed. We hosted roughly 75 people and there was never a time we felt confined by space. My teenager had every element to make the night incredibly special and even a VIP space (a big deal for a kiddo). My guest were also able to take advance of the hotels nearby which made everything that much easier for those attending. I look forward to hosting another event at On the Marquee and will refer them to anyone needing a space. Thank you Erica and the entire team for creating a memory that will for sure last a lifetime!

We paid Erica over $2,000 as a down payment to reserve her venue for our August 2023 wedding—and then she completely disappeared. My wife messaged her with simple, basic questions about the venue and planning, and Erica didn’t respond for over a month. No updates, no clarification, just silence. When we finally managed to meet her in person to try and get things back on track, she told us she couldn’t even promise a reply within one business week. That, after already taking our money. Needless to say, we never got to use the venue, and no refund was ever offered. When we went to the location to speak with her calmly and directly, she claimed she felt “ambushed” and made a point to mention that her husband would be around—a clearly veiled attempt at intimidation that made us feel uncomfortable and unsafe. This entire experience felt less like working with a professional and more like being taken advantage of. If you’re okay handing someone your money and hearing nothing back, then maybe this is the venue for you. But if you expect even basic respect or accountability—go elsewhere.

DO NOT BOOK!!! RUN!! I booked this venue for my daughters graduation and it was a pain from beginning to end. Leading up to the event, the SOLO planner Sarah is clearly overwhelmed and needs help. She handles all the events by herself. She takes days to get back to you when you ask a question and does not remember the details. If you don’t follow up, it will fall through the cracks! She does not confirm anything or give you any sense of peace. Now for the event.. I paid for the graduation package for 80 people. We asked for chicken and shrimp Alfredo, garlic bread, salad and cheesecake cups. The pictures below is what was provided. Not only was it not close to being enough food for 80 people, it was brought to the venue at 4:30PM for a 7PM event! Pasta was cold and stiff! No bread and no salad! We had to use our own money at Olive Garden to get enough FRESH food for our guests. As for the cheesecake cups, the pictures attached shows what was provided. They are not cups they are mini cheesecake cubes maybe? I have kindly asked for a refund from Sarah who has ignored all my texts so I don’t know what else to do. Not to mention Sarah DID NOT know how to work the thermostat so it was so hot in the venue and miserable!!! If you are trying to have a nice event with adequate help DO NOT BOOK HERE! I promise there are better options out there, where you can spend your money. I also forgot to say how there were not enough tables and chairs, DJ didn’t setup until the event was about to start and the grass wall was NOT what we were promised. I asked for full white flowers on top coming down and the pictures below show what I wanted and what they provided!! DO NOT BOOK!

Run run run! In April we secured on the Marquee to host our wedding in August 2025. Against the fact that we were warned about not using this venue, we decided to support this establishment anyway! We opted for the all inclusive package and the only thing we needed to get was the photographer. This was an easy task for us considering our wedding was taking place within a few months. In May we receive a promotion that if we paid the balance in full we could take advantage of an additional 15% off, so we paid in full the remaining balance. Fast forward a couple weeks after we decided to just pop into the venue and to our surprise the venue was with limited air conditioning on each occasion which prompted us meeting with the owner. We met with owner and discussed in details our concerns from what we had observed in addition to food being served in aluminum pans as well as beer being served out of the boxes. She immediately put blame on the vendor and the hosts of the event. As our conversation continues we find out that a/c has been an ongoing problem for years. The owner stated her previous business partner had the wrong unit installed from the beginning and the windows were installed backwards so it was very hard to keep the place cool. We expressed that we no longer trusted her venue to deliver what we wanted for our wedding and considering our wedding guests health issues we needed to go somewhere that could accommodate and satisfy our needs. We stated we wanted a full refund and after some back and forth she agreed to a full refund. She later came back and told us the a/c was fixed and there hasn't been a problem since. Unfortunately we were no longer comfortable with moving forward because in addition to no a/c or lack thereof her response to emails and text messages is extremely delayed and unprofessional. Getting back to the refund. We were told on June 27, 2025 we would receive our venue fee because she had to wait for the vendors to return our money so she can return it to us. We explained our contract is with her not her vendors, that conversation fell on deaf ears. I even suggested she refund us from her operating budget she explained her business doesn't operate like that and I can't compare her business to others. I and my fiance are small business owners as well so we were trying to understand her position. Now after June 27th come and goes I send another text and the response was I am out of town with my family and you will receive your funds on the 4th of July. Today is the 4th of July and still nothing. I don't want to take this matter to court because I don't want to sue a black owned business. I am under a lot of undue stress and pressure because we had to secure another venue and secure all the vendors. I would tell any and everyone do not do business with this place. Read all the reviews. Although she has a few good ones dont be fooled. Today is July 8th I have finally heard from the owner Erica and she informs me that she will not be issuing a refund at all and she will be moving locations in 3 months. I will continue to post and repost until I receive my money back as promised. She's a thief!!! Pictures of fan in the window
